Small Office Solutions (aka S.O.S) is a one-stop information service created to save you the time and stress of researching and evaluating your workspace, therefore letting you focus on your work. S.O.S also offers re-decor solutions to enhance your work environment. With a certificate in Office Ergonomics from Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS), I am ready to tackle your challenges.
Who needs it?
Practically anyone in a small home office, who is currently experiencing levels of distress, disharmony or discomfort.
What’s involved?
I’d visit you and conduct an interview to help me understand you, your needs, and your concerns of the space.
I feel that anyone who strives to be productive and successful in their work needs a space that supports them both physically and emotionally.
Your time is best spent doing your job. It is my goal to provide you with solutions that can be accomplished with what you currently have in your home office, or hidden in your garage or attic!
A Small Office Solutions report may include:
- Alternative floor plans to consider, possibly based on Feng Shui principles (I refer to Feng Shui basics and my decorating background and related research to come up with the best floor plan for you)
- Examples of where to place everything you need to make the most ergonomic use of your space (Ergonomic guidelines are based on recommendations from a Doctor of Chiropractics and from the Canadian Center for Occupational Health and Safety – Office Ergonomics handbook)
- Minimum space requirements per person for shared work-spaces
- Décor suggestions based on the personal questionnaire (with the emphasis being on comfort)
